The San Antonio Eye Bank recently celebrated the lives of those who gave the gift of sight, which included the display of our donor family quilt and cornea recipient testimonials. Donor families and cornea recipients joined together to memorialize their loved ones. See video here:

The San Antonio Eye Bank participated in the 12th Annual Vital Alliance 5K Run/Walk on October 24. Staff, supporters, donor families, and recipients joined together with other local transplant organizations to raise awareness of the importance of the gift of eye and tissue donation. In July, the San Antonio Eye Bank recognized University Hospital as the 2008 Hospital of the Year. The SAEB recognized University Hospital for its outstanding support of eye and corneal donation that led to 75 individuals for giving the gift of sight. See video from the recognition ceremony here:
